Make some Lemonade

"No no no no no no no no no no-", Gracie began.

"YES! I just listened to her say it. We are getting a new sister!", I fought back. "Not cool.", she slumped into her beanbag chair. "It just can't be! We never need a new sister. Never! I am just too happy with you guys.", Kit frowned. "We have to face the facts. When life gives you lemons you make lemonade.", Maybeth calmed us down. "Lee, which doll are we getting?", Kit asked. She always calls me Lee. I don't know why. "I have no clue. Probably a girl our age.", I sighed.

"Well, duh. What do you think we are going to get? A bitty baby?!", May'beth yelled.

"I just don't want another... y'know... Maybeth.", Gracie whispered to me.

"I heard you!", she shrieked. Maybeth stormed out of the room, leaving me, Gracie and Kit.

I grabbed Kit's laptop and went on the American Girl website.

"Let's hope it ain't Kanani.", Kit said. Her southern accent lightening up the conversation. "A his-tor...", Gracie began, "Histoical.". Gracie was dyslexic. "There! My American Girl! Which one is the prettiest!?", I asked. "Beats me.", she said.

"Erin said some names...", I told them, "Novalynne was her favourite. Then Dai, and Hanne, and then Zuri."

Erin came through the doors with a catalogue. "Speak of the devil.", Gracie snapped at herself.

"Here's the doll!", she exclaimed.

Regretted

"Lea. We saw you talking to her.", Stacy nudged me in a evil way.

"I am sorry." I whispered.

"Sorry can't save you from the vandalism in the girl's bathroom that I told the principal you wrote...", The Brunettes said.

"Come again?" I asked.

"You are in a lot of trouble, Lea.", Stacy warned.

"But I didn't even do anything!" I yelled.

I walked away.

As I came in the door Maybeth, Gracie and Kit hugged me.

"You are being expelled.", Maybeth preached.

What did I do?

Not so Sweet

"It's not about the money, money, money. We don't need your money, money, money. We just wanna make the world dance, forget about the Price Tag.", I sang. This was the first time I have been delighted in a while.

I was in my room. Painted orange, with Glee posters on the wall. My bed was fairly sized, and my iHome was sitting on my modern white bed table. Everything seemed perfect. Just happy, and not that negative.

It was eight in the morning, I was preparing for school.

I ran downstairs and grabbed my bag. I got on my KEDS and skipped out of the door. As I danced to school, I remembered all the happy things in life. As I was approaching school I saw a familiar face. It was a girl named Claudette.

Claudette never really spoke, and when she did, she spoke in a monotone voice, and told me about the bad things in the world. Why? I never bother asking. I just move on with my life.

"Claudette. You are always such a loser. You have no friends, and you suck. I remember last year when you asked Nick to the dance, and he rejected you! Bahahaha!", Stacy taunted.

The brunettes laughed.

"Stacy. STOP.", Claudette said assertively.

"You know what... BYE!", Stacy laughed again. The possy walked away.

I ran up to the Sweethearts.

"Why?", I asked, "Why are you being rude to her?"

"No reason.", Stacy smiled.

I sighed and walked away. There was Claudette, reading a book.

"You know what Lea?", Claudette asked.

"Claudette, don't listen to them..", I started.

"The rest of the world thinks the cup is half full, when I think it's just half empty.", she said, standing up.

" I don't care about those... "Sweethearts". I like you, Lea. You are nice. They are using you, can't you see? You'll regret being their friend in the future.", Claudette walked away.

There I stood, alone. I sat on the ground, leaning on the cement pillar.

What should I do?
