Rank List

I slowly walked down the hallways. Alone.

Nobody seemed to care about me anymore. If I were in a room of a hundred people, I'd go in a corner. Dreading the future.

Adam, Alex and Sam are somewhere chasing after the new girls at this point. If I were to choose, they would be hanging out with me.

I glanced down at the decayed brick wall inside our school. It looked down at me. Then I turned to the left, and saw a tall blonde girl chatting with her brunette friends.

"Lea, right?", the girl asked.

"Yep.", I sighed.

"Well, I am Stacy Fiels. This is Katy, Sidney, and Morgan.", she smiled. The brunette girls smiled just like Stacy. It looked as if Stacy was their leader.

"Well, I wish you the best.", I frowned and walked away.

"Wait," Stacy began, "Wanna hang out with us?"

"I'm fine.", I replied.

"Well, a little fun won't hurt you!", she joked. The followers laughed. I made a meek smile. Stacy gently grabbed my arm and brought me along. Her strawberry blonde curls bounced when she skipped down the hallways.

We stopped near the gym. More old brick walls mocking my every move.

"Sit down." she ordered. The brunettes sat down. Then I did. Along with Stacy.

"Now, stand up." she ordered.

I was quite confused, but I did so.

"Now, we're all B-F-F's. Let's see if the ranks have changed.

She turned around, and headed for the Boy's change room doors. It was after school, so we knew nobody would be inside.

Right before she opened the old door, Stacy whipped around and faced us.

She clasped her hands together. Then I noticed the cross around her neck.

"Father, please wish us luck.", Stacy prayed. She went on for about 5 minutes, her eyes closed the whole time. Come to think of it, I was the only girl with my eyes open.

I didn't mind. I am religious myself.

Then we headed down.

Sharpie Graffiti hugged the walls.

Then I saw the list.

The list was a piece of graffiti on the walls that said which girls were hot, and which were not.

My eyes were opened wide when I saw I was number 10.

THE LIST
1. STACY HIELS
2. KATY JAMESON
3. MORGAN GEMS
4. SIDNEY SCOTT
5. EMILEE YOUNG
6. MAYBETH JUSTICE
7. LISA DAMONS
8. JULI CHAMBERS
9. SUMMER HILLS
10. LEA STEWART

Out of 100 girls in grade 7 I was number 10.

"Honey. We want to make you be number two.", Stacy nudged me.

"Just hang with us, and you'll see how we roll.", Morgan added.

I am going to become a Sweetheart.
